Blackboard Quick Tip: Set Up Grade Scales

“ANGEL Letter” is an incorrect grading scale that you shouldn’t use in your course. Here’s how to delete it and build another.

You can manage your grade scale — what Blackboard calls the grading schemas — from the Manage tab in the Full Grade Center.

From here, just delete ANGEL Letter so that it doesn’t negatively affect the way Blackboard displays your students’ grades.

schema2You can then change to MCC Grade Scale, if that’s an option. If it’s not, you can create the MCC Grade Scale from scratch or edit “Letter,” the Blackboard default to reflect the standard 10-point scale.
