Blackboard Tip: Edit Grades

You may want to change a student’s grade. Depending on what exactly you’d like to do, there are several different ways to accomplish this.

To manually override a grade, just find the cell for the student’s activity (scroll to the right to find the activity’s column, then find the row for the student) and click in the box. Type the new numerical score, then click away.

To fully re-grade (including editing feedback), you have two options.

1) Go to Full Grade Center and find the cell for the column/student. Click the chevron inside the cell and then on “attempt” to get back into the grading screen as you saw it from Needs Grading.

2) Go to Full Grade Center and find the cell for the column/student. Click the chevron inside the cell and then on “view grade details.”

From here, you can click on “view full comment” to change the learner feedback, or on “manual override” to change the score.
