Faculty Insights: Equality in the Classroom Matters

CDL class-A instructor Darryl Partner had a long, successful and very unrelated career before he began truck driving. But the drive to learn his craft well enough to explain to others ties together his work at the National Security Agency with his time at MCC.

Partner discusses how his diverse career background affects his teaching philosophy in this installment of Faculty Insights. “I’ve come across people from all kinds of backgrounds,” he says. “I treat all my students the same and they always comment on that — that I really take an active interest in their lives, no matter where they come from.”

Faculty Insights is a series available on YouTube from the Metro & More team about MCC instructors and their advice for others. More “insightful” videos are in the works, but you can watch the full series so far here on the IDS blog.
