Faculty Insights: Setting Students Up for Success

Diesel technology instructor Matt Wagg rises to the challenge of teaching students with a wide range of technical experience and ability. A big part of his job, he says, is tailoring instructional material to different skill levels with the goal of reaching each student effectively.

Industry changes and the ebb and flow of the quarter system mean that he has to keep up with technology to be the best instructor he can. It’s all worthwhile effort, he says, because of his contribution, through his students, to the local workforce.

Wagg discusses his role at MCC and his goal to have students see his honesty and dedication in the latest installment of Faculty Insights.

Faculty Insights is a YouTube series about MCC instructors and their advice for others, from the Metro & More TV IDS team. Check back soon for more “insightful” posts.
