What’s the connection between old-fashioned teacher tech and the augmented reality, space-age-looking, wearable tech of Google Glass? In this IDS Musing, John McAdam blends his educational history with his projections of the future.

Third-form mathematics teacher Mr. Stonehouse used reflection to catch misbehaving students, baffling the guilty whispers as to how he knew what students were doing as he faced a chalkboard. How all-knowing could he have been if his glasses, like Google Glass, came with a record button?
