Smart Tech Policies for Teachers: Upcoming Webinar

If you’re an instructor (full- or part-time) at MCC, check out this upcoming webinar called “No Texting Allowed: Proactive Policies that Prevent Technology Misuse in the Classroom.”

There will be presentation and discussion about keeping in-classroom tech use a tool for good rather than a distraction for evil. It will be live-streamed at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 in FOC #10, room 112. Terri Quick will send out a link to the recorded stream after the air date.

Here are the objectives, according to the company putting it on, Innovative Educators:

Participants will:

  • Learn ways to set limits early in class to prevent problems from growing later in the semester
  • Learn to be aware of their own frustrations and anger when addressing disrespectful behavior
  • Realize that Millennial students use technology in specific ways and learn teaching methods to better make use of their interconnectedness

Contact Terri Quick for more info on registration.
